Stress

Stress is when you wake up screaming and you realize you haven't fallen asleep yet
Stress is nothing more than a socially acceptable form of mental illness
Stress is basically a disconnection from the earth,
a forgetting of the breath. Stress is an ignorant state.
It believes that everything is an emergency.
 Nothing is that important.
There are thousands of causes for stress,
and one antidote to stress is self-expression.

Inspiration

how successful you are is determined by your attitude.
Have the courage to act on your dreams - leave behind you the internal forces that hold you back. one thought, one action, one solution. Failure is only a fact when you give up
. Everyone gets knocked down, the question is: Will you get back up?
Accept the risk and then reap the rewards.
Your only limits are self-imposed.
Like the eagles we have to move our wings to soar like an eagle.
Successful people do what unsuccessful people don't dare.

my Confidence defines me

There comes a time to stand up
This is me !! I look the way I look, think the way I think,

feel the way I feel, love the way I love!
I am a whole complex package.
Take me... or leave me. Accept me - or walk away!
Do not try to make me feel like less of a person,
just because I don't fit your idea of who I should be and don't try to change me to fit your criterias.
If I need to change, I alone will make that decision.

Attiude

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more important than facts.
It is more important than the past, the education, the money,
than circumstances, than failure, than successes,
than what other people think or say or do.
It is more important than appearance or skill.
We cannot change our past...
we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.
The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.
I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it.

how i would deal with a break up

You can shed tears that she is gone,
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her,
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her only that she is gone,
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
Or you can do what she'd want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on!!!!

what is love?

I don't pretend to know what love is for everyone,
but I can tell you what it is for me; love is knowing all about someone
, and still wanting to be with them more than any other person,
love is trusting them enough to tell them everything about yourself
, including the things you might be ashamed of,
love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone,
but still getting weak knees when they walk into a room and smile with you.

Ladies....know who to date!

does my girl cares?

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures
have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand.  The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.

Friends

A loyal friend laughs at your jokes when they're not so good, and sympathizes with your problems when they're not so bad.
Yesterday brought the beginning, tomorrow brings the end, and somewhere in the middle we became the best of friends.
A friend knows the song in my heart and sings it to me when my memory fails.
Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things.
Soul-mates are people who bring out the best in you.  They are not perfect but are always perfect for you.

5 ways to burn fat

Don’t decrease calories by more than 15% below your maintenance levels. .........This is one of the keys to maintaining all of your muscle mass during a fat loss phase

Do not stay in a caloric deficit for longer than 5 consecutive days............. Staying in a caloric deficit for too long leads to a slower metabolism, less glycogen (stored carbohydrates in your muscles that are crucial for athletic performance), and without fail, losses in lean muscle mass.

Focus on force output during your cardio workouts. Many so-called fat loss “experts” love to say, “You shouldn’t output a lot of force during cardio. ...........You will fatigue and have to stop before you burn enough calories.”

It’s no secret that a great way to integrate higher intensity cardio into your routine is high intensity interval training (HIIT).......... The problem is that there is so much confusion about how to perform HIIT properly, and what work to rest ratios provide maximal results.

Resistance training is of the utmost importance in any fat loss protocol........... However, there are just as many misconceptions about how to properly weight train for fat lass as there are about performing cardio for fat loss.

Benefits of Stamina

Daily Life

Even if athletics aren't a main focus of your life, stamina offers benefits for other daily activities. When your body is able to maintain an elevated heart rate without quickly tiring, you can more easily partake in tasks such as cleaning, raking, climbing stairs, carrying heavy grocery bags, running to catch a bus, walking through large malls or commuting via bicycle. Harvard Health Publications notes that having stamina in these instances ensures you'll have enough energy to accomplish your daily activities.

Health

The physical activities required to build stamina have a number of health perks. According to MayoClinic.com, exercises that boost stamina also activate your immune system, raise your HDL or "good" cholesterol, keep your arteries clear, and reduce your risk of obesity, hypertension, certain cancers and stroke. By building and maintaining your stamina through exercise, you can also improve your body's blood sugar levels and help prevent diabetes.

Mood and Confidence

The benefits of stamina aren't just physical: Stamina can also have favorable effects on your mind and mood. Feeling equipped to handle exertion and accomplish physically demanding tasks can improve your confidence, leading you to have a healthier perception of yourself. In addition, stamina-building exercises can alleviate depression, promote relaxation and quell tension and anxiety.

Stamina -- along with strength, balance and flexibility -- is what promotes the ability of physical fitness. Sometimes referred to as aerobic capacity, stamina is the ability to exert energy for prolonged periods of time without becoming fatigued,
It makes you stronger And much healthier...
It makes life much easier.

Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is dead

- Osama bin Laden, the face of global terrorism and architect of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, was killed in a firefight with elite American forces. He was quickly buried at sea. He was long believed to be hiding in caves, bin Laden was tracked down in a costly, custom-built hideout not far from a Pakistani military academy.
Has Justice been done? Is it fair for him to die that way?

Benefits of walking daily

  • When you walk, you reduce your blood pressure and improve your cardiovascular functions. Heart health is huge in enjoying a healthier lifestyle.

  • That alone makes it worth getting back out there doesn't it?

  • When you walk, it has a positive impact on your weight and age-related illnesses.

  •  It helps build muscle strength and endurance and ...maintain healthier bones and joints.

  • Result? Fewer aches and pain.

  • Your stress level is diminished and...you've slowed down the aging process.

  • You leave the extra baggage behind!

  • And...your renewed energy gives you the urge (and ability) to start doing more outdoor activities with your family and friends.
  • Practice to eat healthy!!!

    1. Reduce, don't eliminate certain foods. Most people eat for pleasure as well as nutrition. If your favorite foods are high in fat, salt or sugar, the key is moderating how much of these foods you eat and how often you eat them.
If you love fried chicken, however, you don't have to give it up. Just eat it less often. When dining out, share it with a friend, ask for a take-home bag or a smaller portion.
    2. Balance your food choices over time. Not every food has to be "perfect." When eating a food high in fat, salt or sugar, select other foods that are low in these ingredients. If you miss out on any food group one day, make up for it the next. Your food choices over several days should fit together into a healthy pattern.
    3. Know your diet pitfalls. To improve your eating habits, you first have to know what's wrong with them. Write down everything you eat for three days. Then check your list according to the rest of these tips. Do you add a lot of butter, creamy sauces or salad dressings? Rather than eliminating these foods, just cut back your portions. Are you getting enough fruits and vegetables? If not, you may be missing out on vital nutrients.
    4. Make changes gradually. Just as there are no "superfoods" or easy answers to a healthy diet, don't expect to totally revamp your eating habits overnight. Changing too much, too fast can get in the way of success. Begin to remedy excesses or deficiencies with modest changes that can add up to positive, lifelong eating habits
    5. Remember, foods are not good or bad. Select foods based on your total eating patterns, not whether any individual food is "good" or "bad." Don't feel guilty if you love foods such as apple pie, potato chips, candy bars or ice cream. Eat them in moderation, and choose other foods to provide the balance and variety that are vital to good health.

    5 tips to eat healthy

    1. Eat a variety of nutrient-rich foods. You need more than 40 different nutrients for good health, and no single food supplies them all. Your daily food selection should include bread and other whole-grain products; fruits; vegetables; dairy products; and meat, poultry, fish and other protein foods. How much you should eat depends on your calorie needs. Use the Food Guide Pyramid and the Nutrition Facts panel on food labels as references.
    2. Enjoy plenty of whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Surveys show most Americans don't eat enough of these foods. Do you eat 6-11 servings from the bread, rice, cereal and pasta group, 3 of which should be whole grains? Do you eat 2-4 servings of fruit and 3-5 servings of vegetables? If you don't enjoy some of these at first, give them another chance. Look through cookbooks for tasty ways to prepare unfamiliar foods.
    3. Maintain a healthy weight. The weight that's right for you depends on many factors including your sex, height, age and heredity. Excess body fat increases your chances for high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, some types of cancer and other illnesses. But being too thin can increase your risk for osteoporosis, menstrual irregularities and other health problems.Regular exercise is also important to maintaining a healthy weight.
    4. Eat moderate portions. If you keep portion sizes reasonable, it's easier to eat the foods you want and stay healthy. Did you know the recommended serving of cooked meat is 3 ounces, A medium piece of fruit is 1 serving and a cup of pasta equals 2 servings. A pint of ice cream contains 4 servings.
     5.     Eat regular meals. Skipping meals can lead to out-of-control hunger. When you're very hungry, it's also tempting to forget about good nutrition. Snacking between meals can help curb hunger, but don't eat so much that your snack becomes an entire meal.

    Only do what is important!!

Accepting you can't do things, as
clear  as you prefer, is like
    giving yourself a break!

Only do what's important and never more,
    than you can take.

Of course, it's never easy, with things you have
to face. If given the proper time,
    automatically, they'll fall into place.
Sometimes, there will be set backs
and we have to take everything in
our stride. The thing you should
    remember most, life doesn't give
    you, a carpet ride!

    Choosing Friends

    When choosing friendships,
     healthy relationships are built
strong with joy, love, and laughter.
If you are with someone you care for,
and you make that person smile,
    thats a sign of joy.
If that person gives you a hug, thats a sign of love.
If you are able to make that person laugh,
    thats a sign of happiness.
If you are able to choose a friend like me,
thats a sign of good taste!!

    Rigo's suggestions to live by

We all have enemys, even if  we know it or not...
what can i say?? haters always hate...but to our enemy,, we give them forgiveness.
To people who challenges us, we shold give them tolerance.
To our friends, we should offer them our heart
To everybody, charity!, especially if they need it..
To every child we know and can reach out to, give them a good example
    To yourself? give respect!

    Life

    Life is short...
dont you realize that most times
it would take about a minute
    to find a special person,
and about an hour to appreciate them?
Surrounded by people we care for
it would take a day to love them,
but then an entire lifetime  to forget them.
This poem is dedicated to all my friends and Ms.cooper.

Rigo's tips to the ladies to loose thier belly and get abs!!!!

    1) You've got one thing right: swimming = good.  You'll end up toning up your belly, arms and legs in no time. Plus, unlike going to the gym, it works all the muscles in the body without any sweaty, clammy horribleness felling. Really! Stop moaning and give this a go. I find it really relaxing to have a nice quiet swim.
Only, I find I work up a hunger after a good swim so have your food after you swim. I found even If I ate not long before I went, I still get a bit hungry afterward. Plus, cramps from eating then swimming straight after, not good. If your mum's made you dinner before, no problem. Stick it in the microwave and have it when you come back.
    2) Sugar free drinks. Important. Just because it's liquid, doesn't mean it's not going to give you a belly! Let's face it, water is boring. Swap your coke for Coke Zero and go for 'light' or 'diet' drinks. It makes the difference.
    3) If you can, invest in a Wii. Or maybe you can go round to your mates and play together. You burn those calories having a laugh. Better than snacks and a movie.
    4) Water down stuff. Water = no calories. So stick a bit of water in stuff where you can to make it seem like more. Too much makes it yucky. Just a bit here and there. Example, stick a little water in your soups, cereal, yogurt, water down sugary drinks.
    5) Fruit and veggies are your friends! They say you can eat as much as you want of things like celery and lettuce because it takes more calories to digest them than they provide – or something like that.
    6) Make a little rule for yourself. Motivate yourself.  Like 'No chocolate things this week!' Then maybe next week 'No chips!'
    7) Don't starve yourself. Really. Teenage hormones + no food = severe crankiness and you'll get grumpy and snappy and it'll be rubbish. Rubbish. over come this and eat healthy.

    Belize’s Heroes

Our first hero’s name is the great Antonio Soberanis. He was a leading figure in the nationalist movement in the political arena for a number of years and he is considered to be one of Belize’s great national heroes and loyal patriots. This great man became active in politics during the depression which followed the hurricane of 1931.  What caused him to become interested in politics was his opposition to the government’s treatment of laborers.  He was shocked at the fact that women were being paid so poorly for doing heavy, manual work.  These women were being paid five cents for every five-pound kerosene tin filled and emptied.  The men working on the roads were being paid at the rate of fifty cents per day.  The government organized a horrible feeding program through which the needy were fed nasty rice ‘lab’ and bread cooked in copper pots at the prison.  On September 10, 1932, he fed six thousand people on the Yarborough field while being the leader of the Labor Employment Association.  His political activities continued until 1942 when he went as part of a labor unit to work on the construction of the Panama Canal.  His accomplishments were great and they definitely deserve great respect.
No doubt, Cleopatra White was a full-bloodied Belizean who gave her all to Belize and its people.  She was an outstanding patriot and leader of merit.  She was a nurse, social worker, community leader and helper in the arts.  She was the second Matron of the Black Cross Nurses who did voluntary work among the community.  In short, she was a person interested in the life of her people regardless of race or color and was a promoter of free expression to demonstrate and develop Belizean folklore and culture.  This great woman’s contributions to the development of her people were many.  She pioneered the establishment of the first Village Council in Gales Point.  She assisted in the setting up of sub-libraries in the community centers at the villages where she worked, and she entertained people with skits, cultural programs and plays.  She pointed the way for many in Belize and many followed.  She was truly a Belizean patriot.
It is apparent that Gwen Lizarraga was a great woman of this country who always thought of the poor and needy.  This exceptional woman holds at least two records in this country: she was the first woman to be elected to the House of Representatives and she was also the first woman to be appointed a government Minister.  In politics, her influence was broad and deep and her experience in social work had helped her to get to know many poor people and their support for her in every election had been very impressive.  She was the only politician who made no secret of her opposition to the granting of a casino concession in the country of Belize.  During her term of office as Minister of Education and Housing, that Ministry constructed low-cost housing in the King’s Park area and the Lake Independence area.  The Hon. Gwendolyn Lizarraga deserves to be regarded as truly one of the great women this country has produced.
Last, but not least, the humble Simon Lamb.  This gentleman possessed a great spirit of patriotism, and this was displayed when he did his best to continue the 10th of September celebrations.  This annual celebration went well for about 10 years, but unfortunately, interest began to fade.  It was then that the love for his country stirred up in the soul of this humble Belizean, Simon Lamb.  He took it upon himself to gather people together, and to march and celebrate on the 10th of September not for emotion, but to honor those first Belizeans known as the Baymen, and to inspire his countrymen to love Belize.  Because of his determination and his efforts, the celebration of St. George’s Caye grew big in the 1920’s and up to present day, it is still celebrated.  This is enough evidence that Simon Lamb, a humble Belizean, portrayed for us love, devotion, patriotism, and dedication to the development of Belize.
    by, "Nigel Encalada"
.....................Belize has gone through a lot of changes since the British settled here and these changes were for the better.  Many different people, men and women, were responsible for the proper molding of this country and its people.  These people are called heroes/heroines and Belize had many of them.  These people contributed a lot to this country and we, as Belizeans, should be thankful and respectful of these people because of their great efforts and dedication in making Belize a better place.
In the end, we all wish that we could one day do something positive for our beautiful country like these great people did.  Because of this, these people are perfect models of how a true Belizean should live and are thus regarded as great Belizean heroes/ heroines who should be respected by all!

    La Ruta Maya

Personally I find the “la Ruta Maya” event interesting.  I am a person who is totally about physical fitness and I’m willing to take on any challenge and I never back down from anything. With that being said this events captures my attention. Physical fitness is present in this event for sure; imagine sliding into a 20 foot canoe every morning for four days and paddling at 70 strokes a minute for 6 hours at a stretch under the tropical sun, for a total of 180 miles along the historic Belize River. Now imagine competing against 85 other canoes that has 3 dedicated athletes who all have their eyes on the prize.
I live in Vista del Mar, I went to Bermudian Landing to follow the race at which was one of the livelier camp spots. The community welcomed its guests with food stalls and music. If you're traveling by road, Bermudian Landing is about 10 miles away from Burrell Boom. Burrell boom is about 9 miles from vista del Mar. upon arrival in Burrell Boom, I was hanging out with a class mate where we wonder the land and watch the racers come in. I had to say that it was hype and who did not go themselves involved in the event totally missed out from a handful.

    9 steps to achieve Hapiness

    1.   Understand what it is that will make you happy
    2.   Make a plan for attaining goals that you believe will make you happy.
    3.   Surround yourself with happy people
    4.   When something goes wrong try to figure out a solution instead of wallowing in self- pity.
    5.   Spend a few minutes each day thinking about the things that make you happy
    6.   It’s also important to take some time each day to do something nice for yourself.
    7.   Finding the humor in situations can also lead to happiness.
    8.   Maintaining your health is another way to achieve happiness.
    9.   Finally, it is important to understand that you deserve happiness
By - Jean Kyler McManus –
I agree with Jean because :
    1. Everyone has unique needs for attaining happiness and what makes one person happy may be very different from what makes someone else happy. Revel in your personality and do not worry about whether or not your desires are comparable to those of your peers.
    2. Your mood will very likely increase as you pursue your goal because you will feel better about yourself for going after something you value.
    3.  It is easy to begin to think negatively when you are surrounded by people who think that way. Like-wise, if you are around people who are happy their emotional state will be positive on you.
    4. Truly happy people don’t allow set- backs to affect their mood because they know that with a little thought they can turn the circumstances back to their favor
    5.  These few minutes will give you the opportunity to focus on the positive things in your life and will lead you to continued happiness.
    6. Whether you treat yourself to lunch, take a long, relaxing bath or simply spend a few extra minutes on your self, you will not even realize that you are putting yourself in a better mood.
    7. While there are times that causes you to be serious, when the time is right, find a way to make light of a situation that would otherwise make you unhappy.
    8. Being overweight or not eating nutritious foods can have a negative effect on your mood. Additionally, exercise has been known to release endorphins that give you a feeling of happiness.
    9.  Those who believe that they are not worthy of happiness may not kno that they decrease their efforts to achieve happiness. If necessary, tell yourself each day that you deserve to be happy and remind yourself what steps you will take to achieve the happiness you desire.

    LOVE

You're the reason for these butterflies
That are fluttering uncontrollable inside of me
    These butterflies will never calm
They've taken over my whole body

You're the reason for this smile
    That brightens my whole face
    This smile will never frown
    You've unknowingly became my all

You make me feel alive once again
You've erased my past with just a touch
Chased my fears with just one glance
You broke my mold with that first kiss

I thought my happiness was forbidden
Until you took my world and killed my demons
Read into all my deepest dreams
    And gave them beautiful wings

You're the reason I believe in love

    - Ashlei Dankenbring –
Friendship is foundation for a healthy potential relationship
good things comes to those who wait.....
we should not rush into loving someone based on looks or social status.
we need to have a friend first then choose the one who is most compatible with us.

    Friendship

A friend is someone we turn to
when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure
for our friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who fills our lives
    with beauty, joy, and grace.
And makes the whole world we live in
    a better and happier place.

    Rigoberto Cocom

An audience of children needs to know how babies are born.

Hello everyone, my name is Mr. Cocom.
Today ! I’m here to explain to you where babies come from and how they are made. The process in which a baby is made isn’t very hard, it simply takes certain ingredients and procedure just like baking a cake, and when baking a cake you all know you will need to put the correct ingredients together and place it in the oven and when it comes out you will have your beautiful cake that you’ve made right? Well, it’s a similar process when your mommy and daddy wants to have a little baby, all you need is mommy, daddy and blessing of GOD to create your little sister or brother. When mommy and daddy love each other very much, they come together in a joint union like hugging and a magical process happens just like when you are baking your cake, but instead this time mommy, daddy, and GOD creates your little brother or sister and places it into mommy’s belly. The baby will stay in mommy’s belly for 9 months and when mommy belly is so big and can’t get any bigger daddy will take mommy to the doctor and the doctor will help mammy to take the baby out of mommy’s belly.

    Anxiety Disorder

Anxiety disorders are the most common “psychological disorders” in the world today!  Anxiety Disorder is a broad term covering several different forms of abnormal and pathological fear and anxiety. Classified in two groups, Anxiety Disorder is a continuous symptoms and episodic symptoms.  Anxiety itself is a chronic fear, which continues even when the direct threat is not present however, Anxiety Disorders, causes unpleasant and extreme feelings of fear and apprehension and can becomes overwhelming for a person. This disorder consists of four different types, generalized anxiety disorder, phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder and panic disorder. The emotions present in these disorders, expands from simple nervousness to ranges of terror. The psychological effects of these disorders can be a major obstacle in one’s life. However if we believe in our selves nothing can bring us down.
